There is a big debate on whether or not marijuana should be legal in PA. I believe marijuana should be legal in PA for medical use and recreational use. If we where to legalize marijuana we could do more extensive research on how the drug could help people in a medical sense. On Philly.com a PA website they have found that the top 10 medical ways can help would be helping with migraines because of the anti-inflammatory found in THC, Slowing the progression of Alzheimer's in a 2006 study by molecular Pharmaceutics, Stops spread of cancer, Prevents blindness by glaucoma, controls epileptic seizures, treats depression, lessons side effects of those who are being treated for Hepatitis C, Relieves arthritis discomfort, decreases insulin levels. If marijuana was legal we could better study how marijuana helps those suffering, and add to what we already know.

We should also legalize Marijuana for recreational use and have it taxed. It should follow the guidelines of Alcohol. You can not use Marijuana if you are not over 21 years of age. You must be 21 to purchase marijuana. If we were to tax Marijuana we could get a lot of revenue. We could also decrease the amount of illegal drug activity by 30% a study showed. If we tax we could use the money for research or any other thing needed at the time. The Huffington Post reported that if we were to legalize marijuana the tax revenue for the whole country could reach 3 billion if every state where to legalize marijuana.

Marijuana is not a gateway drug or an addictive drug.  This has been shown in the research done by Yale. Marijuana will help the United States and Pennsylvania. If PA would regulate marijuana we could limit the amount of organized crime/ drug cartels. All in All the legalization of marijuana should help Society.
